Britain's leader is expected to urge supporting countries to provide Ukraine with more advanced missile systems to strike enemy locations during talks in the UK capital on this Friday.

Sir Keir is set to welcome Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky alongside referred to as "alliance of supportive nations", including more than 20 of Ukraine's allies who have pledged to grant Kyiv protection commitments once a ceasefire is brokered.

Ukraine's president has been appealing for several weeks for more extended-range systems from the West, a step that Russia has cautions would escalate the hostilities.

Sir Keir will urge delegates to ramp up the delivery of long-range weapons following an effective operation on a chemical plant in the Russian city, the Russian Federation, using UK-provided advanced weaponry.
